Deal History
Munro Global (“Munro”) was a newco formed in June 2006 to acquire FDS International which comprised two businesses, FDS and Acefieldwork. In April 2007, Acuity supported Munro with further investment to acquire Maven Research.
FDS is a leader in customer satisfaction benchmarking and mystery shopping research. Acefieldwork specialises in market fieldwork. Maven is a full service market research agency specialising in measuring customer satisfaction and employee engagement, using qualitative and quantitative research methods to give competitor insight. Together Munro is ranked among the UK’s Top 25 agencies by size.
Investment Opportunity
The UK market research industry is highly fragmented. Capitalising on the industry knowledge of an experienced management team (comprising Richard Hepburn, CEO, and Charlotte Cornish, Managing Director), we are seeking to build Munro into a leading market research business and so benefit from a resulting paradigm shift in its valuation on exit.

Munro continues to grow organically and by acquisition. By focusing on exemplary customer service and exploiting its sector expertise, Munro is expanding the range of the services it is able to offer customers while at the same time increasing its profile in the industry. Acuity partner Mark Speeks sits on the Board and brings M&A expertise to the management’s disciplined approach to acquisitions.
