Background
Before Acuity was established in 2008, our team formed the smaller companies team of Electra Partners, one of the UK’s longest established private equity firms.
Our Approach
As entrepreneurs ourselves, we understand the challenges of building your own business. Our aim is to align ourselves with high quality management in pursuit of shareholder value growth. We view investing as a partnership and strive to be straightforward, commercial and fair, working closely with management teams to achieve mutually identified goals. We ensure that each of our investee companies has access to a dedicated investment manager who can leverage our firm's resources in support of building value.
Investment Criteria
Our focus is on established and profitable companies with high growth potential. The Acuity team lead all types of investment transactions including public market, public to private, MBOs, MBIs, expansion capital, turnarounds and mezzanine finance. We are specialists in buy-and-build strategies and are always looking to support experienced management teams in consolidating niche markets.
We typically invest between £2-8m of equity in an individual transaction but will adapt our criteria where there is demonstrable potential for value growth.
