  • Munro Global (“Munro”) was a newco formed as a platform for a ‘buy and build’ strategy when it acquired established market research firms, FDS International and Acefieldwork.
  • FDS is a leader in customer satisfaction benchmarking and mystery shopping research and Acefieldwork specialises in fieldwork. Together, they rank among the UK’s Top 25 agencies by size.
  • Munro has now furthered its aim of expansion, by acquiring Maven Research (“Maven”), a full service market research agency specialising in measuring customer satisfaction and employee engagement, using qualitative and quantitative research methods to give competitor insight.
 
  • Electra Quoted supported the acquisition of Maven Research as a follow on investment in Munro.
  • The investment reflects Munro’s aims to grow both organically and through further acquisition, thereby furthering its capabilities to deliver client-focused, business- enhancing solutions across a range of marketing services disciplines.
  • The experienced management team Charlotte Cornish (Managing Director) and Richard Hepburn (CEO) formed Munro when it first acquired the FDS group from the retiring founder in June 2006.
  • Cornish, is a highly experienced quantitative and qualitative researcher with a proven track record in building and delivering high-end market research driven consultancies.
  • Her experience stems from positions at BMRB, Ipsos, the Henley Centre (part of WPP) and BT; her previous role was as Managing Director of The Future Foundation.
  • Hepburn has a broad career from general and commercial management to Divisional Director level with blue chip domestic and international distribution organizations; including IKEA, Early Learning Centre and John Menzies. More recently he was Development Director of OAG.
  The deal demonstrates Electra Quoted’s continued enthusiasm to support proven management teams. Cornish and Hepburn both contribute extensive experience in B2B and B2C business and strategy development operational management, process reengineering, marketing/PR and pre/post acquisition planning and execution. Their commercial leadership overseeing financial performance and promoting new initiatives are greatly attributed to the growth of the Munro Global portfolio of businesses.
  Electra Quoted Management specialises in providing £2 million to £5 million of equity finance for management buy-outs and development capital for UK companies in transactions with an enterprise value of up to £20 million.
